Firstly the main actor is ugly as hell, so what he is Aamir khan’s nephew, my fat guy is much more handsome. lol I was just kidding you IDs! The movie is awesome and why its awesome its because unlike many other bollywood college flicks, this happens one real people can relate to. At least one of your friends or you yourself might have been in the same situation as Aditi and Jai. One of my close friends are in a similar situation and one can learn a lot from this too. By that note let me review the movie spoiling it a little as possible for the people who haven’t watched it yet.
The narrative nature of this plot takes place in the airport, which all connects at the end. The “airport” as we know is the gateway to a females heart in Bolllywood culture. Whenever there is a airport chase scene, I always wonder how much the ticket penalty must have the girl had to pay lol? I know its all a movie.
This is undoubtedly the bollywood movie of the year, and movies like this come once in a few years. It takes on a simple script and the cast executes it beautifully. You may have seen few scenes here and there and question about the originality, which is true, but the entire exploration of their true love is entirely new.
Also this movie is very much directed to a younger audience. You will find a lot of intermingling of tradition and modernity in the movie. The music of Rahman is also supports this marriage, with new sounds that show you that this movie stands above the rest of the current bollywood music scene.
The debut of Imraan Khan (Jai) and unfamiliar new faces is gives the movie a new vibe. The freshness of the actors make their performance seem more authentic than staged. This is one movie that relies on the performance of its cast, rather than beautiful sceneries, or model-turned actresses, or six-packs… The movie poses the question at what point does friends turn lovers. The fine line between the two maybe clear to us but is blurred for the protagonists. This is the drives the movie till the end, till both of them come to their senses.
If you havent watched this yet what are you waiting for? It has been playing for almost 2 months and still reigns the box office! With its surprisingly soaring overseas success as well, you should be able to catch this flick in a nearby theater.
